Following the successful completion of my inaugural gamebook, I immersed myself in a new project, setting fresh objectives to accomplish. In this endeavor, I return to the fundamentals of drama, centering my focus on the unique attributes of text as a storytelling medium. Special emphasis is placed on mastering techniques such as the plot twist and the use of unreliable narrators to enhance the narrative depth and intrigue.
Trinity is composed of three self-contained stories, each independently developed but linked through subtle elements embedded within the text. The narrative architecture draws inspiration from the third season of the television series "True Detective." Players navigate the game as three incarnations of the same character across different time periods—a revelation that gradually unfolds throughout the gameplay. Each story showcases a distinct theme: cosmic horror in the 1920s, a science-fiction drama, and a dystopian future. The narrative of each story is meticulously structured into four stages: a gripping beginning, narrative development laden with information, resolution of dilemmas, and a pivotal twist that unveils the end. As players piece together the character's identity across time, they acquire a "hyperspace sense," empowering them to confront the enigmatic force hidden within their past and future.
