Graphic Design: Burst Magazine

As a graphic designer for Burst magazine’s Spring 2023 Issue 6, I contributed to the production of two featured articles: An Untold Story of the Decatur Streets (P5) and An Evolution of Environmentalism (P20-23). Burst is a student-run publication that engages with themes connecting the Millikin University campus to the broader world, offering students the opportunity to experience professional magazine production firsthand.

In this role, I collaborated with a multidisciplinary team of writers, photographers, and editors to develop compelling visual layouts that aligned with the magazine’s thematic focus. My responsibilities included designing page layouts, selecting typography, and ensuring cohesive visual storytelling that enhanced the reader's engagement. This experience refined my expertise in graphic design, teamwork, and the practical aspects of producing a professional-quality publication, from concept development to final print preparation.
